AppActive Hardware Add on

1) Config and install

HR Manager

Activates & configures the OkDetect system according to the organisation policy & safety protocols.

Employees

Employees install the OkDetect app, once they are verified and authenticated.

2) Contacts Detection in action

Step 1

Employees install the app, and it will run in the background while they are in the workspace.

Step 2

Employees violate the social distancing policy set by the organisation.

Step 3

The phone vibrates and the app displays an alert to maintain a safe distance.

3) Social Distancing Alert

Once the OkDetect app is installed, it will start to anonymously detect other employees using OkDetect.

If the HR Manager has set any specific criteria during the configuration, only the contacts violating these will be recorded.

4) Alerts

The employees will be either marked as infected by their HR manager, or they can self report their results via the OKDetect App.

Broadcast Alerts

HR Manager uses the HR Portal to send broadcast alerts to all the employees. Ex: Lockdown at 6 pm, please leave the office at 5pm to get home safely.

Exposure Alerts

Employees receive an exposure alert via the OkDetect app. The contact detection system detects if the employee has been in contact with another employee who has been tested positive within the last 14 days.

5) Self-reporting

HR Manager

Configures the self reporting questionnaire via the HR Portal. They decide on the required frequency of reporting. They might request this on a daily basis.

Questionnaire

The questionnaire is displayed in the app and the employees are requested to self report symptoms.

Employee

Reports whether they have tested positive & if they are experiencing any symptoms.

6) Daily Status

HR Manager can set the Daily status logic using the contact detection, exposure & self reporting questionnaire.

The app will automatically update the data and keep the employees updated of their health status.

Step 1

Linking & Assessment

Using the OkDetect app, an active tag is linked to a specific employee by scanning the QR code on the tag.

Linking can be done before an employee enters the workspace.

Linking can be done over any employee’s information field (e.g. ID, email address)

Following linking, authorised personnel can fill out the screening customized questionnaires (temperature, status, etc)

The employee doesn’t need to download the mobile app.

Step 2

Detection

The active tags are turned ON and they start detection of all the nearby contacts. Detection happens without user intervention.

For each contact event, tags store other tags IDs, timestamp of the contact, and their duration. Thousands of contacts can be stored.

Social Distancing Alert

The active tags are capable of providing social distance alert to the user via LED, sound or vibration. Parameters for defining a contact (distance and elapsed time) can be configured.

Step 3

Upload contacts to the Backend

While the employee exits the workspace, stored contacts are uploaded to the backend via a smartphone or a gateway device.

Gateways are capable of connecting tens of actives tags and upload data in seconds.

The gateways are setup at the designated exit points of the workspace.

Uploading via a smartphone provides flexibility while the project is on the move in different locations (remote shoots).

Step 4

Analytics & Alerting system

The OkDetect dashboard provides analytical representation of contacts data (who has been in contact, duration of contact, timestamp of the contact), assessment reports (temperature, symptoms, etc) and eventual employees who have been exposed.

The dashboard can alert respective personnel (e.g. Head of Production, Production Manager) via email about who have been exposed, tested positive etc. Each employee can be given a daily status (Amber, Green, Red) via configurable policy logic.

Active System (OkDetect) Vs Passive System (Others)

Active Tag System (OkDetect)

Active Tags don’t rely on beacons.

No additional hardware is needed. Simple solution.

Real-time feedback signals to the user. More accurate than passive systems

Flexible to all types of environment and layouts. Shorter deployment time.

Passive Tag System (others)

Passive Tags don’t actively detect nearby tags by themselves, they must rely on beacons. If tags are out of the beacons range, or behind an obstacle, contacts are not detected.

Additional hardware proves necessary, therefore increasing overall solution cost.

No real-time feedback signals to the user. Less accurate than active systems.

Longer deployment time, as it is necessary to study the layout of the studio and find specific spots to place the beacons. This type of system is not flexible and very dependent on the layout of the studio.
